The standings have been pretty much set for the past week, but they're official now. Gloucester (17-1) won the Peninsula District's regular-season softball championship and claimed the league's No. 1 seed in the Eastern Region playoffs.
Warwick is second, followed by No. 3 Bethel, No. 4 Woodside, No. 5 Kecoughtan and No. 6 Menchville. Those are the teams who qualified for the six-team PD tournament, which begins Monday at Stony Run. Gloucester and Warwick will each receive a first-round bye.
