Warwick beat Bethel 3 - 2 today, with Ward scoring on a passed ball / dirt ball or watever u call it, in the top of the 7th. Bethel had a runner on 3rd with 1 Out in the bottom of the 7th and failed to score. Maxey started for Bethel, and Ellington started for Warwick.
Ellington prob threw the game of his life, he had 7 or 8 strikeouts I think. Maxey didn't look at his best, but still pitched a good game as the score shows.
Bethel brought Shivley in in the 7th after Maxey gave up a walk to Ward, he K'd up number 2 for Warwick and made McCan ground out.
Warwick brought in Delk in in the bottom of the 7th, and walked two guyz, one of which was thrown out at 2nd by Ben Delgado.
Was a great game with a lot of Ups and Downs, and an erratic zone from the umpire..never knew what he would call.

This lost really puts some pressure on BHS as they are facing GHS tommorow and MHS on tuesday. With maxey pitching almost a complete game today and shiv in relief, i wonder how they plan to stretch their pitching staff for their next two games.

BHS still can throw either Ryan or Henderson. Both are very quality pitchers.

True
But not quality when you look at the teams they are playing, Gloucester and Menchville

Bethel 14 Gloucester 0, Ryan pitched all 5. No "quality" pitching required, Pat threw an awesome game!
