Poquoson notched their first win of the season tonight as they beat Jamestown 42-39. Justin Bollinger paced the Islanders with 13 points, followed by Chad Pinder with 12 (one 3 in each quarter). Gene Efird had 8 (all in the first half), and Eric Nixon had 6. Jamestown was led by Steve Bennett with 15, followed by Josh Hathaway with 7, and Jackson Shaver with 6 (all in the 4th). Jamestown trailed most of the way after taking a 2 point lead after the first quarter, but got within two points at 40-38 with less than a minute to play. Bennett got fouled and went to the line for two. He missed the first, made the second, and Justin Bollinger iced it with two free-throws with just a few seconds left.
