Re: Past PD Players Thread
Thank, correction noted and made.
Likewise, it good to see Dakari doing well at West Point as well. With the educational and physical requirements, it has to be extremely difficult to play sports...

Re: Past PD Players Thread
Dave Johnson, thank you for the Alumni Notes. Keep up the good work. It's always great to hear how some of the former PD players are performing at the next level. Here's a couple of recent ones you...

Early Surprises
Denbigh Patriots 2-9 With only wins against Phoebus and Heritage. What's going on? I thought they would be one of the top six teams this year.
Warwick Raiders 7-4. With the loss of Vick, Delk,...

Re: Where is everyone?
Kecoughtan is off to a strong start and should be contenders all year. Can't wait to see how they match up with Woodside and Menchville.

Re: Where is everyone?
My sentiments exactly. Talking with friends and other followers of the PD, we all agree that there's not a lot of hype about PD baseball this year. There was not a lot of chatter about baseball...

Re: Early Predictions
Last year's all-district team was a joke by including so many Hampton players on it; however, that was last year. This is a new year and Hampton will need to prove it on the field, as with all the...

Re: Troy Up One - Barber Down One
Time to close this thread and stop all this nonsense. Let's enjoy these players for who they are, young men with the potential to do even greater things in the future. It will probably be a long time...

Re: Early Predictions
I think the team everyone is sleeping on is Denbigh. They lost two seniors (Myers and Kowalik) from last year's 10-8 team. I expect them to do some good things this year. Finishing in the top 5 would...

Re: D-1 Prospects
I have to agree with your comment. With that said, I still expect O'Neil to be one of the stronger pitchers in the PD this year.

Re: Who's got pitching?
I would not use last year's first and second team as a basis to form a favorite because the whole process of picking the teams seem to be based more on politics than skills and/or results.

Re: Early Predictions
I agree. Mays, Ritz, and Burton will be missed; however, Woodside is traditionally a good hitting team and this year should be no different. My biggest concern is their pitching, but IMO all the...

Meant "parity" definded as equality, as in amount, status, or character. Thanks for the correction.

Re: Early Predictions
I too believe that there will be more parity in the league, but I also predict a big drop-off in the quality of baseball. Look at what each team lost from last year:
Woodside - Mays, Burton,...
