If you'll look closely, you'l see that at least 4 other teams have scored more than 101 in a half... otherwise, they couldn't have scored more than 216 in a game.

yeah, i saw your post... but my post was about Hampton's numbers.
And I don't know about the "unheard of" part.
True, it probably hadn't happened before, but 49 was "just" 1 TD more than Hampton's...

I noticed a lot of Smith's games had pretty even scoring... 21 or 28 pts per quarter... but I found a couple of biggies back in '96...
