Re: Norcom to face DeMatha in Portsmouth, VA 1-29

Norcom will face Findlay College Prep out of Henderson, Nevada.
Last season the Pilots finished 32-2 and won the ESPN RISE National High School Invitational championship.
Findlay was ranked No. 2 by USA Today poll, No. 3 by ESPN poll and No. 5 by MaxPreps poll.
The team is led by Myck Kabongo who is the No. 8 player overall nationally and No. 2 guard. He has committed to Texas. Findlay alo has Nick Johnson who has committed to Arizona.
So it’s going to be a busy season for Finney-Smith and the Greyhounds.
But this should all get him ready for the next level.

WOW Norcom has two guaranteed losses already but I respect them for playing the harder competition.

Really...? Did you just say that? You are such a hater! Just because these teams are ranked nationally and by the way "Norcom is too!" It doesn't mean a guaranteed lose, at all...far from it. Norcom is stacked this year, along with there top three players from last year maturing...this is no where near an guaranteed loss for them. Not to mention that Dorian is still ranked higher in the nation then all but 1 of each player on both teams that they will play. I really can't believe you just said that. I'm not saying that this is a guaranteed win for Norcom, but it dam sure not no where near a guaranteed lost. Coach Goolsby would not have requested these games if he felt they couldn't beat them. As a matter of fact, the Las Vegas one is suppose to be on ESPN. Really...? "Guaranteed Losses!" Such a hater! This is what I be talking about with people from Phoebus like you, no respect for nobody other then Phoebus! However we welcome people like you, because just like last year when you said Norcom couldn't beat Phoebus, nor Petersburg, they prove you wrong!

I agree with you, those rankings don't mean a thing, its what they do when they lace them up and get on the floor, that's what matters. I saw DeMatha a couple times last year, nothing special, although I think Harvey Grant, ex-NBA players son plays for DeMatha and he signed with Norte Dame. Now that team from Nevada is loaded, but of course they get "TRANSFERS" all the time from Arizona, Nevada, California and Texas much like Oak Hill Academy a team full of D-1 top prospects, but you still have to play the games.

Not so fast, DeMatha is not a guarantee by any streatch of the imagination....Now Finley Prep will be a BIG challange for sure, but they could give some small colleges fits, we'll see especially if Norcom is as loaded as many say they are.
