Where is everyone?

This used to be an active forum. Were there no games played in the last 2 weeks?

Re: Where is everyone?

PD baseball has died down, this year being the first year without a real "standout". Not saying that there is nothing to talk about with these other players, just no big arms or bats anymore. sure you have a Josh Moore of Menchville.... But is that really the same as a Shawn Sizemore of old? Baseball in the PD has just declined IMO

Re: Where is everyone?

Losing the five big arms is obviously going to calm things down a bit on the message board. I believe as the season progresses and it's a little more clear how these teams stack up with the new bats, there should be plenty to talk about.

I know some parents and fans of KHS have vowed to keep it clean and positive on HRVarsity this season. We are proud of our Warriors on and off the field.

Re: Where is everyone?

I think everyone would agree that there has been considerably less controversy so far this year! Last year's issues/percieved injustices seemed to fuel lots of opinions and postings.

Kecoughtan is off to a strong start and should be contenders all year. Can't wait to see how they match up with Woodside and Menchville.

Re: Where is everyone?

I'm a baseball fan, not a player fan. I had assumed that people who regularly post here were the same.

My boy plays for Hickory but I live here in Hampton and enjoy keeping track of Peninsula District baseball. Even catching a game or two a year when I'm not on the Southside.

It would be nice if someone could at least keep track of the schedules and scores on a weekly basis.

I agree, this forum has been pitiful this year. No chatter at all. I'm forced to follow on the "District Standing - Team Schedules" link at:
http://highschoolsports.dailypress.com/widgets/main

or the "Daily Scoreboard" at:
http://highschoolsports.dailypress.com/2011/schedules

You can get these links from the HRVarsity home page and then just use the filters to see the box scores and district standings.

By the way, even Dave Johnson seems to have lost interest in PD baseball! I know you are reading some of these post Dave . There seems to be more stories on Troy Williams (no knock on Troy because he deserves the pub..... but Comon' Man ! It's baseball season
