Re: Lafayette vs. Poquoson 9/14

In Lafayette's first game in which they are not the underdog, I look to see some real progress in the offense. Is Lafayette's 13 point average on offense a result of two excellent defenses (Courtland and Smithfield) or will there be a problem in consistency throughout the season? This game should answer that question. Poquoson has a host on runners, so the defense will get a work out in defending the run. Don't overlook a Poquoson team after two tough games, they are always capable and never give-up. I would like to see a 35-7 score.

Lafayette pitches the shutout.

This one could be ugly.

As a coach, Wheeler improves as much as his team does.

Lafayette 28-0.

Re: Lafayette vs. Poquoson 9/14

I'm going for the upset in this one. Poquoson 28 Lafayette 25. This will be a close game, but Poquoson will surprise Lafayette on Offense and the Def will cause a few turn overs. Poquoson has a lot to prove and this week they will step it up and lay all their cards on the table at home. I may be a little excited after watching them punish a JV Team over the weekend, but I really think that they will turn things around.

Hope springs eternal!

Poquoson can win if they get their passing game in gear and hold down the personal fouls. A more likely scenario is Lafayette winning 28-14.
