Poquoson, Tabb soccer teams will honor Va. Tech

Friday night's Tabb-Poquoson boys soccer match has been moved from the field at Tabb High School to Bailey Field at York High.

Connie Minnick, athletic director at Tabb, said both teams will pay tribute to Virginia Tech and the victims of this week's tragedy in Blacksburg. Poquoson will wear its maroon jerseys and Tabb will wear orange, Virginia Tech's colors.

Minnick asked all Poquoson fans to wear maroon and for all Tabb fans to wear orange.

The switch in sites is because a larger than usual crowd is expected and there is limited seating at Tabb. The JV game starts at 5:30 and the varsity game begins at 7.

That's an awesome display of spirit. I love it and feel proud that the schools in this area can come together and show/share their respect for those families affected by this tragedy.

This is awesome. I'm glad tabb and poquoson can come together and do this. Even though we are rivals we both have friends and family at tech.
