Cox 1-0 over First Colonial

Stiff breeze from left to right, Cox was the better team but FC keeper will keep them in any game. Ryan Oakes scored off a header. It was a scramble in front of the goal off a corner. Interesting how the best players get the 'breaks' and seem to be in the right place at the right time.

Re: Cox 1-0 over First Colonial

Did the Patriots threaten at all? I was expecting 3-2 or 3-1 Cox.

Re: Cox 1-0 over First Colonial

The strong wind was a big factor. Yes FC pressured especially at the end and when they were down, but they were against the wind which made it tough. Game shot count should be close.

Cox generated equal or better chances in the first half when Cox was against the wind -- that is what prompted my statement that they were the better team.

Would never deny that it could be different next time. FC was not dominated, but Cox was near so in the early stages of the second half.
