Gloucester 3 - Bethel 1

This was a game Bethel gave away in the first inning. They gave up all 3 runs in the first inning on 2 big errors with 2 outs. That was it! After that they didn't allow another run and just a couple of scattered base runners.
In all fairness neither pitcher gave up an earned run, Bethels lone score came on a dropped fly ball in right field and a previous single had a runner on base. That runner scored. After that the game was pretty even with a couple of good plays for both teams. In the bottom of the 7th down 3-1 Bethels first batter blasted a nice deep ball to left field and had a stand up double (Easily) except she was sent to third and was gunned out and wouldn't you now it the next batter drilled a shot to right field so that cost them a run! NO EXCUSES but Bethel lost another game they coulda won.... 2 good evenly matched teams today anyway. Good game Gloucester and good luck the rest of the way!
