franklin wasn't on the '86 team, he was a sophomore and they were stacked.

From the KHS '86 team: Will Sullivan, Mike Sullivan, Randy Wildes, Greg Dawgett (Sp?), Bill Hollingsworth, Mike Rey, Mark Roehle, David Bonday, Alan Hurt, Russell Fairhart, Scott Ebby, and many more that I can't remember. What a great team. Unfortunately they lost in the state semi's, I think it was 3-0, but don't remember to who.

Mike Sullivan was on that team? Was that his freshman year? For some reason I thought Coach Hughes was much older than him. Must be the grey hair throwing me off.

Yes, I believe Mike Sullivan was a freshman & a year behind Coach Hughes. Mike Sullivan was a very good player up top for KHS, even as a freshman.

Re: Past Regional Champs from Peninsula

I was a visitor from England in 1978 and played that summer for Kecoughtan , after an indifferent mid season we won through all the play offs , i scored 2 pens in a 4 - 0 final victory. Struggling with the lads names but i got a ride to the games with Miko Black.Would like to hear from any of the guys that played that summer. email anniemac69@hotmail.co.uk

I have heard the kids talk with pride about getting on their picture on the wall again. It made me wonder how often a Peninsula team had been Regional Champion. So here they are:
1978 - Kecoughtan
1982 - Kecoughtan
1986 - Kecoughtan
1994 - Lafayette
1995 - Lafayette
If anyone knows any of the players from these teams, please list them. I think It would be interesting to see. I would bet a few are still involved with soccer in one way or another.
