The greatest performances in the UM-FSU series

At the intermission in Tallahassee, Braxton Berrios had played three-and-a-half career games against FSU with six total catches for 53 yards, no touchdowns and a drop in the end zone in the 30-26 loss in Miami Gardens in 2014. Berrios owned the final 30 minutes, starting with a 44-yard punt return with his team down 3-0 that put the 'Canes into field goal range. Then, he piled up 78 receiving yards and two massive TD catches. Meanwhile Rosier hit Berrios those two times and then connected with Darrell Langham with six seconds left to end the Hurricanes' seven-game losing streak against FSU.

McGuire pummeled the FSU defense by combining for 318 rushing yards in the two wins, including the huge 17-16 defeat in 1991. The week after that game, McGuire blew out his knee on the carpet at Boston College, and he never returned to his previous form.

Down 24-20 with 97 seconds left, Dorsey carved up FSU, completing 6-of-7 passes, the final connection to Jeremy Shockey in the back of the end zone from 13 yards out with 46 seconds left. UM secured the win on Wide Right III for coach Butch Davis' only victory in the series in six tries.

Down 27-7 in the third quarter, Miami's defense came alive with a couple turnovers that Perry cashed in by completing touchdown passes, two of them on fourth down, as Miami rallied for a 28-27 win. It was the first Miami win over FSU in Miami Gardens in almost 15 years.

Ward, on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy, had his way with Miami's defense, throwing a 72-yard touchdown pass and then running one in for another score , as Florida State registered a 28-10 win en route to earning its first national championship.

FSU won its sixth consecutive game in the series, 29-24, as Cook torched the Hurricanes with 269 total yards and three touchdowns, including the winner midway through the fourth quarter.

Carruthers logged two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as the Seminoles handled the No. 2 Hurricanes 24-10 in Tallahassee.

The Benjamin graduate from West Palm Beach ran for two touchdowns, including the winner with 26 seconds left. He tacked on a two-point conversion run to make it 31-28. Additionally, Travis threw for 274 yards on more than 10.5 yards per pass with no turnovers.

The consensus All-American took over the game between No. 2 UM and No. 5 FSU at Doak Campbell with two second-quarter interceptions, one he ran back for a back-breaking 49-yard touchdown.

Rousseau obliterated the Florida State pass protection for four sacks in a 27-10 Hurricanes romp. The 17-point margin was the third-largest for UM in a game in Tallahassee. Less than 24 hours afterward, FSU had fired coach Willie Taggart.

The freshman Seminoles quarterback withstood a relentless Hurricanes pass rush, continually completing passes while getting blasted, including a game-turning 59-yard touchdown to Canes killer Dalvin Cook. He completed 20 of 31 passes for 234 yards and the two FSU TDs, and also clinched the game with a bootleg for a first down in the final moments with the Seminoles hanging on to a one-point lead.

When Freeman tallied his third touchdown of the game, putting a cherry on top of the rout at Doak Campbell, it marked the fifth touchdown he had scored against UM in barely more than a four-quarter span. It was the first matchup of FSU and UM with both in the top 10 since 2004.
