Re: First Team Prediction

Since everyones bit**ing out ill make a list
In the one game I saw Gloucester they had no standouts just a bunch of hard workers, but because they could be champs they will get a few slots

Forwards
Colby west
Robert kerby
Warren dennis
Victor brown(or mhs leading goalscorer)

Midfielders
Jack nitching
Mark brewington
Whoever the khs coach nominates
Whoever the ghs coach nominates

Defenders
Austin denney
Ghs center back (don't know the name)
Whoever the mhs coach nominates
Toss up between patou and marcel howard probably give the edge to howard since the coaches have heard of him more seein as how his father is the hehs coach

Goalkeeper
Cory maier

Not trying to take anything from him but I believe that only district stats should be used. Seeing as BHS has only scored 18 goals so far, I don't think that is an accurate number.

Anyone have a more accurate number of goals scored in district play for some the the 1st Team/POY candidates?

Sort of agree. District stats should come first, any out of district stats need to be looked at carefully... namely are you racking up goals against Norview vs. a Beach team? I remeber a couple of years ago, one of the teams destroyed Norview (I think it was them) so a number of their players had inflated stats. Have to go beyond the numbers.

Re: First Team Prediction

By past year results, i would say that the coaches put 0 emphasis on out of district games, no matter if they are a good opponent or not bc some coaches (cough cough Mr hughes) treat all of there out of season games as scrimmages and doesn't believe they should count towards anything and convinces the other coachs of this bc he is the big dog among coaches. With that being said his team definitely has the strongest out of district schedule and i certainly dont believe all games especially these blowout performances should necessarily count but strong opponents from the BRD should. Now regarding first team candidates the entire first team except for one maybe 2 spots will come from the top 3 teams like they always do just because how there teams perform. There will be better players on this lower tier teams that will not be selected and its not nessacarly fair but it happens throughout all sports
