STORY: Tabb's McConnell headed to Richmond
Tabb's McConnell headed to Richmond HRvarsity.com staff After weeks of deliberating between schools, Tabb shortstop Adam McConnell committed to play baseball at Richmond on Oct. 10. He chose the Spiders over Delaware, who also offered a scholarship. "Richmond was the first school to talk to me," McConnell said. "I just fell in love with the campus there when I visited and I loved the coaches, so I went with them. You can't beat academics at Richmond either, and the baseball program is on the rise." McConnell helped lead Tabb to a 17-4 record last season and a berth in the Region I playoffs. He batted .340, stole 15 of 16 bases, 28 runs and hit two homeruns last season. he was named to the Bay Rivers District all-star team.
