Jamestown still leads Wachovia Cup standings

Jamestown remains the leader in the Virginia High School League’s Wachovia Cup standings through the winter sports season. Schools are awarded points for top-eight finishes by teams in state competition, starting with 50 for a state championship.

Jamestown has 260 points and is one of three Bay Rivers District teams in the top 10. Lafayette is sixth with 140 points and Grafton is eighth with 112½.

Hampton and Phoebus are tied for 22nd in Group AAA. In Group A, King William is tied for 11th.
