Yeah, truth be told, we that conversation was brought up earlier in this conversation. Believe me, they know that Phoebus student wise is an AA school. But it's only one team that might have given Phoebus a run on this side of the water, and that was that Hampton squad from the Ronald Curry days. Besides that, it's pretty much a pointless conversation.

I posted on another topic but this seems to be the right spot for it. I grew up in NN and played rec football from the time I was 7 til I moved to Smithfield when I was 12 or 13. Since I graduated from Smithfield in 1998 the Bay Rivers champ would not even sniff the goal line against the PD champ. Think about it. My senior year was Ronald Curry's senior year. The following year Hampton won again then not long after Phoebus started to take over. So we are really saying the BRD champ vs hampton or Phoebus. These teams over this period of time were some of the better teams in the COUNTRY... not state, region, but country. Look at the list of defensive players from Phoebus and Hampton over these years and drool BR fans. (I know I do) The overall team speed on these two teams over these years was ridicolous. Why do you think VT started their dominance after the 98 season. Two big reasons Michael Vick and Peninsula District recruits. Ive seen every Bay Rivers champ since 98 play at least one game. Not even close to the teams from really any of the hampton schools. Some on here might say 42-7, 35 14, These people don't want to believe there are kids 10 minutes away that are on another planet athletics wise. But it's true. Speed kills and city kids can flat out run. BR football reminds me of William and Mary football... you know very fundamentally sound, dedicated, heart. those type of things. The PD is like Florida now or Florida St. back in the day. They will put some many pure athletes on the field that even with fundamentals you can't keep up. The other thing I noticed Phoebus does is usually put their absolute top athletes on defense. Maybe a trend all over but noticeable at phoebus. I love Bay Rivers football and look for any names to come from there to make it so I can support them. But I am not blind. Just real. Phoebus 60 Bay Rivers Champ 0. Although it was a scrimmage Phoebus just shut out the #6 high school team in the country. Why would any bay rivers team think they could score?

A BRD team would evan come close to scoreing if they did it would have to be in the 1st quarter when we are trying to figure out what u are doing after that its over just ask stone bridge. We shut down that single wing after that they didn't no what to do. If we played any BED team it will be a running clock in the 2nd hlf. It's no team in the BRD that can keep up with us nobody seem to realize how fast we was. It wouldn't be far is we move to the BRD. Everybody should just come to the game today and they will see we haven't miss a beat.
