Upgrading and improving HRVarsity.com, and you can be a part of it

We are expanding our coverage on HRVarsity, adding blogs for each of the high schools in our coverage area.

We are looking for someone to be the blogger for each school in the Peninsula and Bay Rivers districts and the private schools in the area. We already have people in place for Jamestown, Phoebus and Poquoson, but all other schools are open.

You won't be blogging for free. You'll be able to make some money ... not enough to quit your day job ... but some money, nonetheless.

What are we looking for in a blogger?

* - You don't have to be a polished writer, but you should be able to write complete sentences.

* - You're willing to write about all sports at your school, not the major sports

* - You're willing to update the blog regularly in order to keep people coming back to the blog.

We will help you get started and help you along the way. We'll provide ideas and tips for content, and you can exchange information with our network of bloggers.

If you're interested in a particular school or have questions, please don't reply to this message, but e-mail me at lburke@dailypress.com

Thanks ... Lynn Burke
