what gets me is that you have players getting selected for positions that they rarely played so that confirms the popularity contest in my mind

Are the stats of the All-Stars, as well as other players in the PD, available anywhere on line? It would be interesting to compare the # of at bats, BAs, RBIs, errors, etc. Seems certain programs in the PD have been "over represented" on the All-Star team the past couple of years. I noticed HR Varsity published the BRD's All Star's data.
Congrats to Hux for winning POY and to Menchville for their season. The Monarchs always represent the PD well.

What would be great is if Menchville ends up playing Hampton in the Regional Finals..to settle the matter of the PD....and send them both to states.
Regarding All PD....ignore that useless political game.....who cares....What matters is going out and whipping the Southsides butts....and then taking State......My son did that..for mighty Menchville.....back in 09......No politics, no banter....just a Ring and memories.....DO it

I am with you on that Oldguy. Would like to see at least one of our PD teams advancing ... two would be phenomenal. Seems that the Bay River district gets their First & Second team selections correct, and do a great job posting stats etc. Not sure if that's Marty O'Brien's doing .... but it would be nice if Dave Johnson could do it for the PD. Some way to justify the selections. As it stands, it seems more like whichever coach buys the most drinks the night before the selection meeting, gets the greater number of votes for his players. I guess Danny Mitchell (Hampton) was buying this year. He must have bought dinner & drinks last year... maybe even brought in some strippers.
