First TIME EVER for RUGBY
The Rugby Virginia State High School Championships will be held in Hampton Roads. The state contest is FREE and open to the public.
The games begin at 5pm with a showcase Sevens game between the powerhouse Virginia Beach Falcons when they take on the Newport News Mens club 7s team. This match up is sure to be a great game of high energy 7s rugby. The state match kicks off at 6pm between Fairfax's Fort Hunt Warriors and our area's own Hampton Heat. Sure to be a battle-this one is worth coming out for. Fort Hunt was knocked out of the state run last year by the boys at Heritage Hurricane Rugby and the Heat are a first year team with lots to prove. Forget the beach, forget the festivals..come watch one of the fastest growing sports in the US... 432 Industrial Park Drive, Newport News 5pm-8pm Admission FREE

Saturday March 9th 2013 kicks off the 5th high school rugby season for the Peninsula District in the Ruggerfest Tournament. Competing will be teams from Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania, Richmond as well as our Peninsula teams.
Games are at 9:00 at Dozier Middle School on 2 fields there Admission is free and bring a friend . It's not to late to get involved. For more information go Newportnewsrugby.com
