This would have been a great outlet for KHS against the zone to go inside in order to move the zone and then have Batten and Dejesus cutting and Williams or Fortune on the perimeter for the kick out shot.

He tried to ride two great players to the state tournament, but it takes a full team effort to win this thing.

The bad decisions began before they ever got into the regionals.
Okay, I hear you. Now that I think about it, I don't think they passed the ball into the post all game. If they did it was only a couple times.

I told myself I wasn't going to do this.

Coach Thomas did a wonderful job this year with a lot of massaging of line ups and integration of new players.

Kecoughtan was horrible last year and he took them pretty far this season. I hope for great things into the future for Kecoughtan, just not against Bethel.

Does anyone know if he is prepping or JC?
Puerto Rican national team? Did anybody notice that Macho did not play defense all year? Macho has a great first step but that's about it. His ability to get away with traveling shows that he has quick feet, but he only uses them on one side of the court. His dream to keep playing will fade just like the ones before him who thought that high school was just for playing basketball.

Re: Eastern Regional Semi-Finals (Final Four)

Norcom won their first round, should’ve been a blowout. Thomas Dale is nowhere near the team that Phoebus is and Maury proves to me that Petersburg is definitely beatable.
Norcom beat Thomas Dale, despite bad games by Dorian and Jeremy and basically everybody but DeCarlos.
Finney-Smith still manages 17 points of 3-13 shooting. He also had 16 rebounds.
Jeremy was just horrible; I think he let the trash talk get to him.
We have a hard one Wednesday though!
Maury lost that game because they went four minutes without a score, but they still only lost by 4.
Thomas Dale must have bought their own referees because once this game got ugly, the refs starting making bad call after bad call against Norcom. Also, Norcom didn’t help their self’s by missing free throws.
Ugly win, but we will take it.

Puerto Rican JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM.

Strikes and Gutters, this country is built on dreams. I hope every dream that Macho or any other hardworking young person has comes true.

If you are hoping that people fail is it because you have never really achieved anything yourself?

The hope should be that he learns how to use his quick feet on defense receives a good scholarship and gets a great education, so that he can become a contributor to the greatness of this country. If that is not your wish, then you have a real problem with your place in life. Here's to hoping you get some help.

Now on to the basketball part of this:

You must have missed his steal toward the end of the regional game that nearly prolonged their season.

I don't remember his man walking by him on every play.

If you can keep the guy guarding you in foul trouble as he did in just about every game, I still call that shutting them down. The best defense sometimes is a strong offense that makes your man work on defense. Who had a big game against him? Show me some evidence.

And the basketball people at LaSalle, The Puerto Rican Junior National Team and a few other colleges would probably disagree with you on whether or not he can play.

Re: Eastern Regional Semi-Finals (Final Four)

Just to clear up a little. Maury has a very talented and fast back court. Sim did manage 19 points and Leary had 12 but they both shot poorly combined 8-22. Call that on the night or Batten and Dejesus' defense...Dejesus scored 31 points in 18 minutes on 12-21 shooting in an eastern regional playoff game that his team was getting KILLED, somebody had to step up and he did.Even if he was the worst defensive player in the PD (which he isn't) someone will find a spot for that kind of production.Good luck to him.

ok, I may have been a little harsh on Macho's game. He does no how to score! I too wish for every hard working person to make it. But you have to work hard off the court, in the classroom as well. this is why i said puerto rican national team
