Norcom won their first round, should’ve been a blowout. Thomas Dale is nowhere near the team that Phoebus is and Maury proves to me that Petersburg is definitely beatable.
Norcom beat Thomas Dale, despite bad games by Dorian and Jeremy and basically everybody but DeCarlos.
Finney-Smith still manages 17 points of 3-13 shooting. He also had 16 rebounds.
Jeremy was just horrible; I think he let the trash talk get to him.
We have a hard one Wednesday though!
Maury lost that game because they went four minutes without a score, but they still only lost by 4.
Thomas Dale must have bought their own referees because once this game got ugly, the refs starting making bad call after bad call against Norcom. Also, Norcom didn’t help their self’s by missing free throws.
Ugly win, but we will take it.
The crowd was about 85% Norcom

Nope...neutral refs are used for the State Quarter-finals. The crew would have been from an association that does not work in either Norcom's or TD's conferences.

It was a figure of speech, however regardless of where they came from. They were the worst and their calls were one sided

Wow, he seriously meant they brought their own refs and knocked out and tied up the real ones like a scooby doo episode...Technically he said "bought" so they could have paid them off and made them their own.

I know what he meant....he meant officials from their association who would be biased towards Thomas Dale. He can spin it all he wants after being called out on it. The fact is that the crew was neutral with no affiliation with either squad.

I'm sure if you had a friend or family member who was an official of any sport you wouldn't want them constantly accused of cheating or having their integrity questioned.

And I'm quite sure the Thomas Dale fans are saying the same thing about calls going in favor of Norcom. Norcom shot 29 free throws and TD shot 27 for the game. In the 2nd half TD shot 18 free throws and Norcom shot 21. So when did all these fouls keep going against Norcom late in the game? Sorry to bring facts into a conversation.

Now you talk about facts, let’s get this straight. Norcom shot 21 in the second half because TD started fouling on purpose after they went down by 13. Norcom started to use the stall Offense and Thomas Dale coach instructed his team to start fouling and that’s what they did. It’s a big difference! This started in the 3rd quarter. So I am pretty sure they don’t have a complaint.

Now on the other hand, Norcom had no reason to foul, but kept getting bad calls. At times, people need to realize that sometimes referees call games one-sided at times. Stop being blind to the world, it really does happen.

Get your facts right first, before you try and debate me on a game you probably didn’t go to.

At the end of the day, I know that they didn’t bring their own officials to the game, what I said and meant was they were bad refs.

I'm still waiting for some facts to back up "sometimes referees call games one-sided at times". What Master's program talk you this bit of wisdom?
