Re: Brian Darden Offers
As a freshman and sophomore, Darden was a can't miss kid for upper level d1.
What happened? I watched the same thing with Jontel Evans and Tre Lee a couple of summers ago. They both went with Boo on the summer circuit and Jontel blew up and Tre faded. Same thing this summer, Key had a good summer and Darden didn't show up. There is something about a football players mentality that is different. They compete in whatever situation they find themselves. What Peninsula District football player will step up and become a basketball star in Summer 2011? |

Re: Brian Darden Offers
Lets be realistic. First of all they are not firm offers, cause he is only a Junior. Second of all, if you get a letter from a school introducing themselves, it could technically be called an offer. Brian is a good kid, but lets hope he doesnt fall for this hype. Any college is a good college. Just maintain the grades to get there. He seems dedicated to sports and academics and that is what should be what is important.

Re: Brian Darden Offers
running on fumes, yes the schools introducing themselves could be seen as that, but understand that there are players out there who are not even getting that sort of attention from schools. Brian has put himself in a great situation by being a great student, but getting those looks from different schools is a plus and if someone is offering him a scholarship, whether D1 or D2 it is a accomplishment. I feel that if he does get a scholarship it is a great thing, because he saves his mom/dad money and it helps him to accomplish a goal that he set out to reach. There are alot of players that would love to say a college is even looking at me and are thinking about even offering a scholarship. If i get a opportunity to talk to brian, I would tell him you are blessed to have this type of attention, stay humble and if there is a school that wants to give you a full ride to play ball and you like the school both academically and athletically, go for it I wish you the best of luck.
