So you're not counting that blowout loss to Maury (63-41) as a loss now in the EDT Final? You counting a regular season win streak now? You sound like the Highland Springs people in the CR with their Regional Semifinals appearance streak. No one counts a regular season win streak. That would be like Phoebus being undefeated in football the last 5 years and losing in the first round of the playoffs and bragging on a regular season win streak it doesn't matter. You Norcom fans are very funny you did nothing in the district in football the last 7-8 years and you finally win a district title and ya'll are running off at the mouth. As far as basketball you won it all last year, but a year earlier they were ready to fire Goolsby after he got bounced by Great Bridge at Norcom not he's the savior. BTW heard from some sources the trying to run Archie out of town now SMH. BANDWAGON Fanbase!

The keyword was “Regular Season,” that was tournament time. If I would have counted that game I would have counted the Eastern Region Final when Norcom returned the favor and went on a 7 game winning streak and to go on the win the State Championship against an undefeated Petersburg team. My intent was what I said. As far as the last 7-8 years, Norcom has improved consistently and Archie has been there the majority, but he’s made some serious mistakes in the playoff games. Archie problem is that he doesn’t stick to what gets him wins. I wouldn’t say he was a savior and I think the problem was with Goolsby was that people were disappointed that he had all this talent on the time and players that were really good, but he had no control over there shoot selection…the forced up a lot of three pointers, in which they had two guards the year of the Great Bridge game, that could score in the paint, along with an up and coming Dorian Finney-Smith. Goolsby had great success at Norcom winning the championship, but people were disappointed that he had the talent, but didn’t do anything with it. Last year team, didn’t force up 3 pointers, they had a lot of focus a couple of games, but they played consistent basketball. He’s evolved as a coach and I think the turning point was the Booker T Washington game, as far as his evolvement as a coach. As far as the team, there’s come against the first 20-point blowout against Phoebus. So yes sir, I wasn’t “counting that blowout loss to Maury (63-41) as a loss in the EDT Final,” because I was talking about regular season, not tournament time.

All I'm going to say about the scheduling is, this is basketball. The smartest coaches always try to schedule a few games against teams with more talent (Findlay) or highly respected teams (dematha). Its a win situation even if you lose, because you get to sharpen your skills. Its hard to improve in basketball without playing talent on your level or higher.A lot of people will expect losses,so if you do its no big deal and if you pull off a game, you'll look that much better. As far as Findlay goes I've seen Maryland and Len Bias beat a UNC team with Jordan, Perkins, Doherty, Daugherty, Kenny Smith,Wolf, and Popson. It wouldn't be the biggest upset ever...

Findly lost 54-50 to a 1 loss team.

Academy of New Church schedule great opponents too with highly D-1 players and they too have some players on their team , I looked at their roster and they are tall with some D-1 signed players .
