Post 25 will lead all in stats...
Look out everyone, Post 25 will roll over everyone. And even if they lose, they will still lead the league in every major category by the end of the summer. Just check the scorebook. It is a shame the parents are allowed to be so involved in both MHS and Post 25 baseball. It really makes it difficult for the kids to truly be judged on their ability. You can go ahead and pencil in their All Star game representatives now.

They do have some talent over there at 25 though, thats for sure. They will field a competitive team this summer no matter what the books say.

Re: Post 25 will lead all in stats...
Though "legal"....does anyone believe the use of eligible College kids (19 yo)
is in the "spirit" of youth ball? I know last year Post 25 went to states....got massarcred by the Midlo team (that has at least two college pitchers) so I guess this year they will return the favor... I think it's deplorable |

They have to get there first. Anything can happen in those 9 inning district tournament games. No team is a lock for anything in my opinion so returning the favor is out of the question, for now.

Re: Post 25 will lead all in stats...
I'm with you there.....if I recall....they sort of played the High school season as if
they were going to the Regionals again this year.....got bushwacked in the regular season and in PD tourney....some of these boys need to stop reading the press and get a little humility (maybe the coach's too) Let them prove it on the field |

Re: Post 25 will lead all in stats...
Exactly. Anything happens. And from the past legion seasons if i recall, you never do know who is going to quit the team, get tossed, argue w/ coaches, fight w/ own teammates, etc. on this 25 team. I think many times this year they forgot it was a team game and as you said got "bushwacked" when they needed to step it up. They might have the greatest (and i mean unrealisticly great) stats in the area but what counts the most are those W's. Also a lot of times college players come back thinking they "own," on the field and let there big egos show, and that can come back to bite them. You have to come together as a team during this grueling hot summer legion season to be successful. It can be a very tough thing to do.

Re: Post 25 will lead all in stats...
Post 25 has several part time players that are participating on other travel teams as well so we'll see what a difference that will make in their line up each week. Attitude will certainly play a big part in the success of all the legion teams, especially the ones with college age kids coming back. Any idea why some of the Post 31 eligible kids play on the Bombers travel team instead of their legion team?
