Does anyone else out there feel like Poquoson's Birdy Evans may have been cheated ? I catch up on what the girls are doing weekly thru the DP and almost weekly, Birdy is mentioned in the paper with some really strong pitching stats. How can a girl who has performed so well during the regional games not be on the second team at the very least. It is my understanding that this team is chosen for their performance during the regional games. If this is true, makes no sense in my book.

congrats on all the BRD players for getting selected in the ALL - Region softball team..but im alittle upset to see sarah davis get first team pitcher when she doesn't even pitch on the mound. if anyone has ever seen her pitch ....she's like 5 feet from the plate. i believe that birdy deserves that 1st team pitcher along with Rebecca MIlls.

There are several guidelines regarding All-Region selection in Region 1 softball. One is that only 1st team All-District selections are considered for All-Region selection. Therefore, any player who is on the 2nd Team All-District cannot be an All-Region selection, no matter how well they played in Regional competition.
