VHSL 2011 Varsity Football Master Schedule Released!!!

ENJOY!

Some Packer fans will be happy...Surry is no longer on the regular season schedule. I'm GUESSING the Battle of Route 10 will now become a Benefit Game.

Re: VHSL 2011 Varsity Football Master Schedule Released!!!

Thanks Wayne, no offense to the Surry Cougars, but thank GOD we do not have Surry as a regular game anymore. The Coaches have been trying to move from this regular season mathup for the last few years. Just did not help us at all with the power points, playing a single A team that has not won many games over the past few years. I know Surry will get back to there winning ways in the future.

For Packer fans, I noticed that Poq plays Southhampton the week before we do, that should give us some idea about the Indians. Talked with Coach Hill of the Packers a few days ago, he is extreamly happy with the turnout of boys lifting weights at school this summer, he said he has seen anywhere from 60 to 70 kids. Some of those boys are going to be JV players, but it is nice to hear about this enthusiastic group.

Also for you Packer fans that did not know, the new superintendent of schools is a big sports fan, she was a former player and coach. I know she is going to look out for all the county schools and football is not the top priority, but could she help us get a fieldhouse in the future????? I'm sure all the teams that come to play us would appreciate that. Being we are one of the few schools in the BRD without a fieldhouse. I know it can come from clubs, donations, etc. but I really think sports could be benefitted when she starts her tenure.
