Daves Pick for all-district

I think Dave has done a great job and there are several positions that had a couple of guys deserving. The biggest one that steps out at me is the QB. I'd have gone with Brown, and yes I'm a Bethel fan but... a few yards under 2,000 and I'm guessing several hundred yards rushing as well. I can't complain about Lewis getting his pick though because he's a stud as well. My biggest reason for Brown is he did all this against teams knowing Bethel wasn't a running threat, he had to pass against cover 2's and 3's all year. Lewis is was big threat with his arm and legs, but he had a couple of good running backs.

As far as the Defense I'd have R. Walker on the D-line somewhere. G. Saunders is deserving as well . Bethel has nobody on there for defense even though they led the district in shutouts and a few scores they gave up this year was on the offense. However when I look at those picks I can't honestly say who I'd leave off to put these guys on. This is a very good even district this year and congrats to all the players that make it on Thursday!

Terrance Ricks from Kecoughtan should be listed too. Second year in a row he lead his team in tackles. On a D-Line that was tops against the run!! Dave how can you list Cogdell from Hampton as a D-Lineman this year when he played Linebacker all season? Just saying........ If we are going to select these guys on the positions they played this season then I don't think Cogdell belongs on the D-Line!! This is my opinion only on your selections.................

Re: Daves Pick for all-district

jb1edlover, valid points. I went with Lewis because he's a winner, had three fourth-quarter comebacks, etc. Stuff you want from your quarterback. Looking back, would have been good to have a Bethel player on first team defense. Certainly Walker and Saunders would have been good picks.

Luvthegame, Cogdell played LB the first two games and then was moved to the D-line, where he has played the last eight. And certainly T.J. Ricks is deserving ... there are probably 50 deserving players for 25 spots, I think it turned out to be.
