Sports club will honor Nuttycombe
The Peninsula Sports Club will honor former Newport News and Menchville high school coach Charlie Nuttycombe on Aug. 1 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Newport News.
The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $8 per person, but is free to club members. Newport News (1956-70) and Menchville (1970-89) football and track team members are encouraged to attend.
