Local Virginia rush Players in Holland Cup
Three local players are currently participating in the Holland Cup Soccer tournament in Amsterdam, Netherlands. They are part of a Rush team that is comprised of players from Virginia, Colorado and Hawaii. Daniel Gilman midfielder -VAR Predators & York High school, Chris Heroux- Goalkeeper, VAR Red Devils & Kecoughtan High School and Kyle Gaskill -Midfielder VAR Nike and Hickory High school. 1st round results; Win 2-0 against Sus Niederbonself, Draw 1-1 against ORN FK, Loss 0-2 against FC Omniworld, Win 2-0 against HVV Hollandia. The boys begin second round play on August 4.

Re: Rush team finishes 4th & 2nd in Holland
The Rush played well into the semifinal round of the Holland Cup, placing fourth overall in the Holland Cup and second in the Challenger Cup consolation tournament. After the trophy presentation, the team was treated to the final of the Amsterdam Preseason professional tournament, where Arsenal defeated AJAX 1 - 0. Congratulations on a tremendous showing against top ranked international competition. You have experienced a journey most American soccer players can only dream about!

At the time, Chris and Daniel were U 16.

What Teams Will Those Boys Play On In The Fall? How Did They Get Picked To Go Over There To Play?

I believe both will play on the U18 Rush Predators. They applied through Colorado Rush and I don't know if there was a screening process.
