predictions in the bay rivers district

1. Tabb- heard they had one of the best defenses coming back and a power running back

2. lafayette-got some talents and experence but a small line! well coached by wheeler lets see how they hold up

3.smithfield- first of all they have roberts! one of the districts best running backs. size and speed is always a strength for the packers but a young coaching staff

4. grafton- always has talent and are very well coached but losing thaxton doesnt help. cant replace phillip too easily.

5.bruton- may not have the numbers but they are the toughest bunch of kids in the district. good size on the line and being well coached should have them in ever game. they are strong in the secondary and in the linebacking corps. running back brett burks should big huge in the running game. qb cameron mettler will have to prove to the district that he can replace tyler. a telented and experenced group of seniors will push bruton through the fourth quarter

6. southampton- they are always big up front and with and experenced qb in rawls should be a tough game.

7. new kent- young and athletic. they can surprise a alot of teams in you are not careful. they also have pretty good size with the youth

8.york- loses a running back to woodside and a new qb. but with a good group of seniors lead by evan yeo should win some games but not enough because of size and lack of talent

9.Jamestown- the only team in the districts that passes before they run! laycock was the leading td and yard guys last year but also threw 30+ interceptions. a couple good rbs but lack of good linemen will hold them back

10. poqouson- they lost mike bell and some of thier linemen. a 0-10 squad thats loses their best player will struggle down the stretch

11. warhill- a brand new team in the bay rivers district with no seniors and very few players with varsity experence! they will struggle with leadership and with a brand new coaching staff will be hurt by chemistry issues. welcome to football in the brd! not many wins in the short furture for the lions of warhill high
