Re: Sept. 1 -- Jamestown vs. Poquoson
Poquoson looked good at their 2 scrimages. They are fast and attack the ball real well. It should be a good game.

Poquoson didn't look too bad but they need to get a better defensive backfield. Bollinger is pretty good, with some speed, but the others are lacking. They need some some size and foot speed on both the offense and defensive lines. They reallly don't have a Michael Bell back this year so Nixon will have his problems getting the offense going, not that it was that good with Bell. I believe after this season they will be looking at changing coaches because I don't think that Duty will last. You can't have the same plays and mind set year after year, Don Ward up in the booth, and be a consistent winner. I believe they need new blood in the coaching ranks with some new ideas and enthusiasm. |

Re: Sept. 1 -- Jamestown vs. Poquoson
Jamestown looked good Friday after a shaky start against Menchville in a benefit game. Final: 44-21. QB had a few errant passes, but a tall receiver made him look above average.

Re: Sept. 1 -- Jamestown vs. Poquoson
When Looking Back At The Facts I Couldn't Disagree More About The Islanders. The Wing T Is A Great Offense For The Quality Of Players Poquoson Puts On The Field. They Have Also Installed A Shot Gun Look As Well. I Understand They Played Very Well In The First Scrimmage And Executed To Perfection At The Second Scrimmage. While The Bay Rivers Is A Very Competitive District This Team Has Represented The Bay Rivers Extremely Well In The Past 6 Seasons Winning Three Regional Titles And Earning 4 Playoff Births (can Any Other Br Team Say The Same?). The Staff Is The Same Without The Leadership Of The Head Coach Last Season. I Think All Poquoson Fans Would Agree Last Year Was A Disappointment But They Were In Just About All Of There Games With The Exception Of A Few. Tabb, bruton And Lafeyette Still Run The Wing T So The Offense Is Not Outdated According To Some. This Particular Staff Also Produced 3 Or 4 (not Sure) Undefeated Seasons When They Coached Jv Back In The 90's So Give It A Little Time.

Re: Sept. 1 -- Jamestown vs. Poquoson
This Offense seemed to work well for Western Branch last year. I guess we'll find out if Poquoson can take it to the next level this season.
