Re: Oct. 30 -- Indian River vs. Lake Taylor
I like Lake Taylor in this one for one simple reason: quarterback/all-purpose athlete Lenny Paiva. To hear Titans head coach Hank Swayer talk, this guy can do it all ... except possibly throw the ball into the air for himself to catch. When Paiva does line up wide, look for Jarred Battle to showcase his arm and expand an already-expansive Lake Taylor offense.
Travis Williams could give Indian River fits on offense, if he continues playing the way he did in a 2006 season that saw him record 19 sacks. Mike Privott amd Jeremy Simmons will also feature in the Titans' 3-4, a scheme based on speed, athleticism and strong tackling. |
