Bethel/ Hampton Game
The Bethel vs Hampton game was a hard fought match between two very good teams. The players were playing their "guts" out for their schools and fans but unfortunately the coaches got in the way. Neither coach, I don't think, realizes the game isn't about them. Their "showboating", as to calls on the field by the umps, was an embarrassment to their teams as well as their the schools. It stopped the game, which in turn, halted the momentum of the teams and gave the impression " LOOK AT ME ". This isn't supposed to happen in a high school baseball game. As I've heard coaches many times tell their players " do your talking with your bats and gloves not with your mouths". Theses two coaches let their teams down by their behavior, one was ejected and the other should have been. I'm not someone that hasn't played the game , so I've seen this type of behavior before, I just respect the game and what it stands for and apparently these two coaches haven't learned that yet. Teach your players more than just baseball by your actions and demeanor on the field, after all, YOUR THE COACH .
