Counting The Islanders Out May Be A Very Dangerous Mistake. If Not For Two Very Costly Errors In The Red Zone Against A Very Talented Jamestown Team Poquoson Would Be 2-0. Dude, are you kidding me, "nothing has changed". You obviously haven't watched the Islanders this year. We don't expect them to compete for a national title, but "nothing has changed" is probably the most ridiculous comment I've read or heard all year.

Poquoson will pull out the upset if they pass the ball more. Poquoson has a really good passing game and they need to use it, running the ball just isnt going to work that well against a strong lafayette defense. Poquoson will also have to keep the penalities down. Look for this to be a somewhat high scoring game.

One thing Poquoson does have is some real good fans! I have seen scores on here predicting Lafayette to give up more points to Poquoson than to two of the top Div 4 Region I teams! Lafayette has given up 13 points in 8 quarters of football and now they will score more than than did against Jamestown? Is there an injury report for Lafayette I am unaware of?

lol, you are correct. Let's just see how it plays out on the field. Talk is cheap and actions are louder. I can't take anything away from Lafayette because they have been the better team over the past few years, so let's just see how it works out on the field. To be honest, if Poquoson doesn't adjust to this team, they have got some serious issues.

lets keep it all in perspective. Lafayette is last years district champions. they are well coached and have great tradition. until they are dethrowned they are still the team to beat. there is no question they have played a very tough schedule in this short season thus far. Poquoson has alot of pride as well as a very supportive fan base. the city and school are very upbeat but when its all said and done the kids are the one that leave it on the field . this is what high school football is all about. good clean hard nose football. good luck to both teams!

Great post hmmm! You really did say it all. We'll see what happens on the field Friday night, but I will tell you that it is a mistake to think that Poquoson is going to go down with out a fight. If the Poquoson Coaches actually put their best foot forward, this could get interesting. We'll see.
