Spring Football

Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Spring Ball. I would love to see the VHSL allow teams to practice in the spring similar to how colleges do it. I know that in the deep south high schools have Spring Ball (Georgia, Florida, etc). I think that it would improve the overall quality of football in the state (as well at UVA and Tech) and help keep the guys dedicated in the weight room over the offseason. Obviously it would interfere with some of the spring sports, but I'm willing to take that in return for better football in the fall....

Does anyone know if the VHSL has ever entertained the idea???

Re: Spring Football

There was a pretty extensive thread on this several weeks ago. Looked back and you can find it on page 6 if you want to take a look.
