GRAFTON 45, SOUTHAMPTON 0
Kyle Pelchy ran for two touchdowns and caught a 45-yard pass for his third in the Clippers’ victory over Southampton. By halftime, the Clippers had amassed 303 yards and led 45-0. That meant the second half was played with a running clock. Grafton scored five times in the second quarter, turning a 10-0 lead into a runaway. Austin Sneath rushed for 125 yards on 12 attempts and Sean Downing passed for 109 yards. By halftime, the Clippers had amassed 303 yards of offense. Grafton struck quickly in the second quarter. Downing ran 29 yards for a touchdown on the fourth play of a drive, then threw a 45-yard TD pass to Pelchy on the first play. The Clippers then scored three times in the last 3:09 of the quarter, capped by Ryan Johansen’s 50-yard interception return as the half ended.
