HAMPTON -- Grassfield made sure its first Virginia Duals was memorable, winning four of the last five matches and holding off Brookville 32-31 Friday night at the Hampton Coliseum.

Kyle Gress (189) and Kevin Mahoney (215) recorded back-to-back pins to give the Grizzlies some breathing room, which they would need as heavyweight Josh Kidd of Brookville pinned John Devine 1:12 into the match.

Grassfield will face Hampton in tonight's quarterfinal at 9.
