BRD and PD

There is something about the Jamestown Eagles that no one can dispute, the play of Chris Miller. This guy is a soccer player through and through. When he transfered from Woodside to Jamestown they became a force to be reconded with in the BRD. Tabb is missing Chas Engle up top, Anthony Han has to carry the load for Tabb to be successful.
I watched the game between KHS and Tabb and I don't see too many teams in the PD beating KHS this year. They could have a season like Menchville did 3 years ago. Heritage will not crack the big five this year but their coach has them going in the right direction, they play with heart and if they improve from last year they will have more quality wins this year.
Warwick could be the sleeper for the district title this year, Coach Trini has a good group of players, these guys were undefeated as jv players two years ago

Re: BRD and PD

how about the goal by jamestown junior Danny Franklin against lafayette, pretty special. I think they missed him as a player to watch in the brd preseason review. The Eagles didnt play their best game but still were able to win. Kramer Runager scored 4 goals in their last game and almost had a spectacular bicycle goal last night. This team is just strong from top to bottom.

Re: BRD and PD

DKJ Dad,
Good observation on the KHS/Tabb game....although in Tabb's defense they've been given a lot of hype and the pressure to living up to the hype is getting to them. I still feel that they have a very good team, and once they get settled...will make some noise in the BRD.

I'd love to see the Warriors go undefeated in the district, but opponents like Menchville, Warwick, and the KHS player's themselves are going to provide a very stern test to repeat as District League & Tournament Champs. Plus, depth at bench and key players need to stay healthy if that's going to happen.

Players to watch and enjoy (for KHS) are sophomore Robert Alberti up top, sophomore Will Hess in the midfield and Karl Kummer at the outside midfield position. This may be the best time for KHS to do some damage in the PD b/c after this season....they lose 10 seniors (6 start), and they don't have hardly any experience on the bench.

KHSOLDSCHOOl,

I believe the only thing that stops KHS this year will be themselves. When Coach Holleran left he left alot of talent in place for the new coach. All Frank has to do is put the right 11 on the field and let them play. Number 7 up top is very impressive with his speed and ball skill. I wish they could win with alittle more class, they like to rub it in while they are kickin you.

Re: BRD and PD

I agree with the class thing. They have this cockiness about them that even an old schooler like myself doesn't like to see....and that's coming from someone that's played with some of the best players to play at KHS.

I also agree that the only thing to hurt KHS is the space between their ears. It clearly showed in the game they played against Princess Anne where they tied, 1-1. PA is a decent team, but didn't have the overall talent to keep up with KHS. They did, however, have big hearts and worked hard the whole game....something KHS lacks at times b/c they were waiting for the other shoe to drop. Oh well, that's bound to happen....boys will be boys.

I look forward to a good, if not great, PD season. Hopefully I can get to watch Jamestown play. Charlie Sneddon and I are friends and I'd like to see how they look...I've heard a lot of good things about them.

What years did you play for KHS? I was in the district years ago myself.
