Cody Bateman of Phoebus had a 1 hitter Friday the 13th against Hampton with 8 strike outs and was 2 for 3 at the plate as his team won 8-2. Great job Cody and the rest of the J.V. team.

The Phoebus J.V. team is 3-4 could very easy had been 6-1 if a play here and a play there would of or could of been made. But regardless of the record the boys are playing good ball and having a great time this year, thanks to coach Dickie they seem to enjoy playing with him and are learning alot from him.It's funny about the 7.50 for the game ball, maybe next time.

Cody had another good outing yesterday in a losing effert to Warwick, only giving up 4 hits with 6 strikouts, bringing the hits against him in his last 3 games which were all complete games to 8. Warwick's picther also had a great game only giving up 3 hits as the Raiders won the game 3-0. Great job to both young men. Phoebus JV are now 3-5 with Cody having all 3 wins.

Hampton's Jv Team Has Some Decent Athletes But I Am Not Sure They Understand The Game. They Also Turned Away Some Pretty Good Talent From The Northampton Rec League System. I Do Believe Some Of Those Kids Would Have Improved That Team. They Know The Game And Wanted To Play. The Team Right Now Looks Like The Hamton Wythe All Star Team From The Last Couple Years. I Think They Should Get The Kids Baseball Resmes Next Year.
