Re: Boys soccer: WOODSIDE 5, BOOKER T. WASHINGTON 1
I was able to attend this game today. A good turnout of fans for woodside. As for the game, very sluggish in the first half for whs. However, Booker T. was surprisingly better than the years past. Number 9 I believe it was showed some good skill for Booker T. For whs, of course hopkins, who is a presence in every game. But also number 11 on defense did a solid job, very aggressive, love seein good defense. I think it was number 1 in the middle as well, have seen him in a few games this year, displays good touch and field vision, well able to set up teammates for goals. Good performance in the second half for whs. Glad to see this game.

Re: Boys soccer: WOODSIDE 5, BOOKER T. WASHINGTON 1
I will have to say that this score is not indicative of the game... pretty much dominated by woodside... BTW had a breakaway goal and thats all they were able to shoot on goal. Better defense with new lineup by woodside... but the goal was a result of not marking up...
Offensively.... I don't think i am exagerrating to say that Woodside missed about 20 opportunities to make goals. Hopkins missed a few breakaways.. as did Maada, Rob adams, Matt mendonca, jeffrey tutone, walter washington... kenny smith... Overall... in the second half.. they settled down and put the opportunities in the goal.. On defense.. well played game.. intensity picked up as game went on...Blinco had a beautiful corner kick assist.. and played tough in the back BTW had a pretty good goalie when it came to high balls... he got to them ... Goals... Hopkins had 2 goals off corners.. a header and a rebound volley.. not bad.. considering he is trash according to some on this board.. He will be a pretty good player this year... KG123.. nice comment about hopkins.. and when does warwick play their first game...? Last edited by WOODSIDE soccer coach : 03-13-2008 at 09:42 AM. |
