Woodside's Johnson off to Albany
Woodside's Johnson off to Albany Daily Press Woodside point guard Felicia Johnson signed with the University of Albany. This past season, she averaged 15 points, five assists and five steals, leading the Wolverines to a 20-6 record and was named to the Peninsula District all-star team. Johnson also posted a 3.6 GPA and was on the Daily Press All-Stars second team.

Re: Woodside's Johnson off to Albany
Lots of good basketball players out there, including a bunch of underclassmen.

Re: Woodside's Johnson off to Albany
your right and I believe it's going to take the coach the parent and the student to work hard at getting these kids in college l'm not taking anything away from the other star athelics, but there are alot of good players that go unnotice. i'm a coach and parent and i won't put my child future in the hands of a coach , because coaches can either help a rising player or ruin there carreer .so parents do your homework even if your child doesn't make the 1st and 2nd team . as a coach I know potential and someone that's out just having fun.

Re: Woodside's Johnson off to Albany
Some good points.... some not so good. First of all Johnson was a first team all district player and the third leading scorer in the Pen. district. Secondly, it would depend on the coach when it comes to trust. She had a good one who along with the parents did everything they could to look after her. Third, the girl better be a player or it won't make one single bit of difference who coached her, what parent did what, and absolutely not what aau team she may have played for. Sometimes that last part hurts them more. Lastly, college coaches are sick and tired of self promoting parents who think making highlight films makes a difference in recuriting. They are more concerned with how they interact with their high school teams on a regular basis and what they do through the course of a game. Good for Johnson and company.
