Coaches rescheduling of rained out baseball games.

I thought there was a general rule that if your game was rained out you play the game the next open day, not weeks down the road. If for example you had games yesterday ( 4/27/07 ) , then its rescheduled for the following day being Saturday . If thats unavailable for what ever the reason , its set up for that following Monday. It seems to me that there are certain schools especially in the BRD , that don't care to follow this rule, and schedule their make-up games to what ever date is convenient to fit into their schedule . When games are rescheduled because of rain, it puts all teams in a bind , but you just have to deal with the cards that you are given and let things play out.

Re: Coaches rescheduling of rained out baseball games.

You really don't have a clue do you ? Is it fair that most teams in the PD & BRD follow the rules that are set up , while others bend them so that it wont effect their pitching . Is it fair that most teams play the cards given them, meaning some have four games that following week , while others schedule them later in the season, because just maybe they don't have a deep pitching staff. Assumming that you play for York, my post is no way pointing a finger in your direction . If another team had your pitcher Lamb and he was suppose to play say Jamestown on Tuesday and pitch , with his next game with York on Thursday , wouldn't you want him playing the game as it should be the following day being Wednesday ? Or would you rather they bend the rules , moving the game two weeks down the road , just so he can face you because you are tied with them for a playoff spot ? Have I made my point ?

Virginia Mom needs to stop worrying about when games are being played, be quiet, and enjoy watching his son play the game of baseball.

I agree with Mr. Drewry
Lamb is a great pitcher and teams should be worried in facing him. what he did against grafton shows how dominant he can be on any given day. plus, he is only a junior so just wait until next year

Re: Coaches rescheduling of rained out baseball games.

Pikacho & Tdrewry,
Maybe you might want to reread my post , because neither of you seem to see that all I was doing was making a general analogy , not taking at shot at Lamb . My point was that yorkathlete9 would much rather have Lamb pitch the rainout the day its suppose to be played , therefore ruling him out pitching to his team two days later. Lamb was only used as referrance because he is an excellent pitcher, and I thought yorkathlete9 would understand my point being he knows the quality pitcher he is. Hey camper123, maybe your sons team is one of the ones that bends the rules , so maybe you need to follow your own advice , be quiet , and just enjoy the great game of baseball !! Tdrewry, are you the one who bolted York for the greener pastures at DHS ?
