Football: WINDSOR 21, KING WILLIAM 13
R.J. Edwards ran for two touchdowns in the second half to spark Windsor (4-0) to a 21-13 victory over Region A rival King William, boosting the Dukes' playoff hopes.
King William (0-3) took a 7-6 lead on Ryan Thomas' 55-yard touchdown pass to Daryl Powell and Josh Belfield's extra point in the second quarter. But Edwards' TDs put Windsor on top to stay. The Cavaliers cut the deficit to 21-13 on Lewis Redman's 12-yard TD pass to Joe Akers with 4:48 remaining in the game. They got the ball back and took it to near midfield before losing it on downs.KW coach Zach Just said of the Dukes, "They played extremely hard and made plays when they had to. Once again we put ourselves in a hole that we couldn't get out of. Mistakes have been what has cost us each week. We are about three mistakes from being 3-0."
