Let me set everyone straight
Over the past weeks PD members have been posting things like
"its sad that tabb is ranked one in the state in AA... because they wouldnt even be top 3 in the PD." - PDperson This person obviously did not hear of the 5th team in the BRD (with all do respect to Grafton) losing to the best team in the All-World PD (Denbigh) by 2 runs. And then the fifth best team in the BRD went over to Bethel and barely lost a heartbreaker in the 7th inning on a bases-loaded walk......... yet the garbage tabb team figured out how to beat Grafton by 5 runs a week earlier IN A RIVALRY GAME. PDperson went on to say..... "tabb wouldnt beat denbigh bethel or menchville and would be close with hampton." He is absolutely right.... There is no way after what you just read that Tabb would be able to hang with any of those teams..... let alone beat Hampton....because nobody in the BRD can play... remember? Now im not saying Tabb would beat Denbigh, because I think that when both those teams step it up ( and have Carter throwing 89 on the hill ) Denbigh would edge out tabb in a close one. But to say they wouldn't be ranked in the top three in the PD...... Would be absolutely ridiculous........ |

Re: Let me set everyone straight
with each team playing their absolutely best baseball game....they would get beat by menchville, bethel, and denbigh....denbigh played horribly against grafton...just one of those games...tabb is good, real good...but would have a tuff time getting enough hits to put up a good number of runs on any of those teams...where i think those 3 teams would adjust to brown and guy and get the job done...denbigh is batting over .400 as a team...with great depth throughout their line-up....menchville has great depth at the plate, and bethel is almost there...i believe pitching is too tuff for tabb to handle, and the sticks for those 3 teams would get the job done...tabb is having a great year and i hope carries home the state title...good luck boys

Re: Let me set everyone straight
Smithfield beat Hampton twice the first week of the season......so to say that Tabb couldn't hang with top half of the PD is a little far fetched. I'm not sure if Tabb would beat Denbigh and Menchville but I'm sure that it would make for two entertaining games. This is all purely speculation anyway, they're not gonna play - at least not until the Legion season starts. Could be an interesting summer!
In Legion - Tabb and Poquoson play on the same team don't they? If so that could make for a skewed result - so we may never know for certain how well the "Tabb" bunch would fair against a PD team....in the Legion world. Still should make for some fun talk on here this summer!

Re: Let me set everyone straight
yes Tabb and Poq play on the same team... and Grafton and York play together. Legion ball should be very good this year.

Re: Let me set everyone straight
Congrats - it only took you 48 hours to figure it out.....that's a close translation, it wasn't quite exactly correct....but I'll give you credit for it just the same - now I can change it!
