all i know is that we had a ref kick out all of our home fans at the smithfeild game because they were callin a player "banana feet" because he had yellow shoes on. and later on he red-carded our sweeper for using the "f" word when it was a player from the other team who said it. that sums up our experiences with the refs. ever since we had one incident against tallwood, the refs seem to have been looking for an excuse to punish our players/fans/school in general

They deserve to be paid well because it is a tough job. I think one solution is to have the coaches from both teams decide how much the referees get each game based on how well they did. The fee the referees did not get can be provided to the referee organizations for mandatory training.

While good in intentions, how many times have we heard the losing team blame the refs, even if the refs call a fair game?

I have to crack up at this discussion... Raise your hands if some of these refs refed when you were playing high school ball and they ****** THEN?!?

Just like other jobs, is there not some type of agility test they have to take before they can put 'the jersey' on? The chick last night could not get across the field fast enough during a girls game. Then of course you had the 'King of Refs' for the boys game... Whatever.
