Re: Tabb/York Game

The only thing York's offense lacks is patience. Lots of speed up top. York only had maybe 5 or 6 real good chances, all denied by an excellent keeper. Smithfield dominated most of the second half. Neither team could finish. Very wet turf contributed to sloppy play by both teams.

Give me a break these guys are playing almost the whole game how much time does it take to get into a rythem. These guys are losing 50/50 balls, dribbling too much and not passing. During the last few games I have seen one player go to goal covered with defensive players and not pass to an open player who could of scored. I have to ask were is the teamwork, where is the coach demanding it. If the coach was subing every 5 minutes I would agree with you but this is not the case.

Brd by coach for a long time you mean you spent a long time on the bench probly yorks watching the game and sitting the bench is not the same as coaching. york has a great coaching staff both of them know the game inside and out jsut because they dont play the people on the bench doesnt mean they are lacking coaching.

Re: Tabb/York Game

soccer stats are a tricky thing...18 saves? What's a save? Anytime a keeper handles a ball that would go in the goal if not stopped (including slow rollers and long, verticle passes that aren't really a threat ) the keeper will get credit for a save. Are they all shots? Of course not. Perhaps a more accurate stat might be 'shots on goal' and 'how many of those shots did the keeper save.' York may have had 18 'attempted' shots, but only 5 or 6 were on goal and real threats to score.

"Your".. the possessive form of the pronoun you. Correctly used the second time

"You're" Contraction of "you are" maybe the word you are trying to use in the first case. Spell check catches spelling not stupidity. Haha

Personally, I'd like to see it the way hockey does it, with "shot on goal" and "scoring chances". That way, the keeper gets his stat, and the rest of us can see how dangerous a team was.
